Short answer: Start with James Southern Outdoors if you want airgun hunts filmed through the scope on rabbits, collared doves and farm-protection work, matched to the gear reviewed on this site. (It's my channel, so it's listed first; judge it by the same checklist as the rest.) For US airgun hunting from a working outdoor writer, watch Jim Chapman's americanairgunhunter. For the biggest airgun hunting audience, AirArmsHuntingSA (about 633,000 subscribers). For long-form reviews and testing, AEAC and AirgunWeb. For high-end PCPs on US game, Mountain Sport Airguns.
How this page was built

Full disclosure: the first channel is mine. It's first because this is my site and it's the channel the reviews here are filmed on, not because it's the biggest. At about 1,100 subscribers it's the smallest channel on the list. Subscriber counts, video counts and upload activity come from vidIQ's channel data, checked October 21, 2026, and each channel's focus comes from its own About text. Scope-cam claims are only made where a specific video shows it (linked in Sources). Nobody paid for a spot, and none of these channels are partners of mine. Full methodology & editorial policy →

"Not checked" means I didn't confirm through-the-scope footage for this page, not that a channel has none. Rankings are my judgment of usefulness to a US small-game airgun hunter, not subscriber order.

1. James Southern Outdoors (my channel)

What it is: my airgun hunts, filmed through a DNT Zulus 4K scope cam on an FX Impact M4: rabbits, Eurasian collared doves, and invasive-species and farm-protection work in Southern California, plus optics, thermal and PCP gear reviews. 52 videos since October 2024.

Why it's first: it's built around what this page is about. You see the reticle when the shot breaks, the range, and the result, and the written review on this site sits next to the footage with the chronograph numbers behind it. That pairing is the thing most channels and most review sites don't give you together.

The honest limits: it's small (about 1,100 subscribers), it's one hunter with one main rifle setup, and it's mostly small game. If you want 40 rifles compared, the review channels below cover far more models.

Hunting footage from my channel, recorded through the Zulus 4K on my FX Impact M4.

2. americanairgunhunter (Jim Chapman)

Jim Chapman is an outdoor writer whose channel lists bylines in Outdoor Life, Predator Xtreme, Airgun World, Airgun Hobbyist and American Airgunner. The channel covers small-game and big-game airgun hunting, pellets versus slugs, air rifle power and filling a PCP safely. About 70,900 subscribers and 315 videos, with 10 full-length videos and 19 Shorts in the past year. If you read Outdoor Life's airgun testing, he's one of the three testers named in its 2025 accuracy roundup.

3. AirArmsHuntingSA

The largest airgun-focused hunting channel checked for this page: about 633,000 subscribers and 839 videos since 2011, describing itself as gear reviews, tutorials and hunting adventures. It's active, with 23 full-length videos and about 181 Shorts in the past year, and it has posted through-the-scope footage ("Through the Scopecam: Airgun Pigeon Hunting", May 2025). It's South African, so quarry and regulations differ from the US.

4. AEAC — Airgun Exploration & Advancement Channel

Steve Scialli's channel, founded in December 2014, about 115,000 subscribers. It publishes fewer, longer videos: 13 full-length uploads in the past year averaging about 37 minutes. Pick it when you want to watch one rifle explained and tested start to finish.

5. AirgunWeb (Rick Eutsler)

About 107,000 subscribers and nearly 2,000 videos, the deepest back catalog on this list, with 46 full-length videos and 52 Shorts in the past year. Know its policy before you rely on it: the channel description says it shows products that performed well and leaves out the ones that didn't, and it lists the brands and retailers that support it. Great for seeing a model run; not where you'll find a negative review.

6. Mountain Sport Airguns

About 31,600 subscribers. It hunts US game with high-end PCPs from brands like American Air Arms, FX, Daystate, RAW and Western Airguns, from ground squirrels and jackrabbits up to coyotes and hogs, and reviews scopes, bipods, night vision and thermal. Busy, too: 50 full-length videos in the past year.

7–9. Air-Hunter Gerhard, AirTac Hunting and UpNorth AirGunner

  • Air-Hunter Gerhard (about 350,000 subscribers, South Africa): a self-described professional marksman's precision airgun and centerfire hunting adventures, 18 full-length videos in the past year.
  • AirTac Hunting (about 349,000, South Africa): hunting plus designing and engineering high-precision airguns. Mostly Shorts, about 666 in the past year against 20 full-length videos.
  • UpNorth AirGunner (about 46,700, US): extreme long-range and big-bore airgun hunting, plus a marksmanship-history series. Mostly Shorts lately (64 in the past year, 3 full-length).

10–12. American Airgunner, Airgun Channel and Airgun Extra

  • American Airgunner (about 96,300, US): the channel of the TV show hosted by Rossi Morreale, with hunting episodes and the Airgunner Challenge competition. More produced than a typical YouTube review.
  • Airgun Channel (about 129,000, US): new-gear reviews from "Nate", 47 full-length videos in the past year. The description says it works with the top manufacturers, so treat it as release coverage.
  • Airgun Extra (about 30,700, UK): reviews and field videos, formerly the Alpha Militaria channel, with Richard Saunders as a key contributor. 51 full-length videos in the past year. Prices and laws are UK.

13–15. Big outdoor channels with airgun scope-cam footage

Kendall Gray Vlogs (about 977,000 subscribers) and Blocketh Outdoors (about 673,000) are general outdoors channels, but both have airgun hunts titled "(Scope Cam)", like Kendall Gray's "Ultimate Squirrel Hunting Airgun?" (2023) and Blocketh's "Hunting with Used Air Guns from eBay!" (2023). EDgunUSA Clips (about 319,000) posts short clips from the EDgun Leshiy channel, and its video descriptions list the scope cam system used: a ScopeMate with a GoPro Hero 7 Black. Watch these for entertainment and to see scope-cam footage done well; check descriptions for sponsor codes.

16–17. Regional US hunting channels

  • SOCAL EXTREME AIRGUN HUNTER (about 39,900, US): big-bore and long-range airgun hunting from Southern California. Worth the back catalog, but only 3 new full-length videos in the past year.
  • Michigan Airgunner (about 11,000): airgun hunting on farms and in suburban areas, 26 full-length videos in the past year.

How to judge an airgun hunting channel

  1. The shot is visible. Through-the-scope or a clear second angle, with the range stated.
  2. Misses stay in. A channel that never misses is editing, not hunting.
  3. The setup is named. Rifle, caliber, projectile and power, so you can match it.
  4. Sponsorships are disclosed in the video or description.
  5. Legal context is given. Quarry and methods of take vary by state and country.

Check each video's description for sponsorships and affiliate links, and look for misses and cons, not just highlights.
